New Stat

A new stat that should be tracked in the game and made available on the forum to help other people is...

Average Daily Spell Energy

I'm not entirely sure if this is the average spell energy collected per day or consumed per day, but the way this game is played is radically different for people with lots and lots of spell energy and those who have to watch every spell they cast.

People with low spell energy have different opinions on how catching foundables should work and have to employ different strategies to accomplish fortress achievements. For us to properly assist others on this forum having an idea of their spell energy would be very helpful.

A second related statistic might be inn density in area of play.

I've got a spreadsheet with my spell energy gained.

I'm averaging 3.91 per inn. I have the little blue and green roofed inns, The Three Broomsticks and Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop.

I've also started keeping stats on whether greenhouses are awarding energy for full ingredient storage and with space available.

Only started yesterday so I don't have conclusive stats. But yesterday every greenhouse I visited when my bag was full I was on 100% of getting energy.

I hit 11 greenhouses when my bag wasn't overflowing and got energy 4 times.

i hear what you are saying, and not disagreeing with anything other then the assumption that a high energy cap alone is enough to separate players.

i am up to 325 cap now, and i havent been able to fill it since i was in the high 200's.

in my tiny town there are three inns, one fortress in a half kilometer loop, and way out of the way a greenhouse. i am extremely thankful and fortunate enough to have submitted enough things to have some of each, but i can literally play all day and not fill my energy bar.

next nearest tiny towns are miles away in opposite directions from here and just as sparse for point of interest objects. it is a long drive to an actual city from here in nowhere, iowa farm country.

even having a high cap, what really matters at any given moment for tactical decision making is how much energy you actually have, how long it will take to get more. how much you can hold is more of an after-equation modifier i think.

that said, rare opportunities i get to go to a city, i can fill the whole bar nothing to near 300 energy in an hour and a half off of the dozen+ inns around the nearest city hall to here. (was not quite 300 cap last time i got to town) even at just 3 energy a meal every meal while returning all the things.

i think its a good suggestion you have made, and even if i cant routinely fill my energy to cap i am still putting almost all my coins i get to more energy cap - when i do hit i town its worth having the more to fill - but i dispute the thought that cap is wholly determinant of how to spend energy. more important for tactical use is how much you have, and how quickly you can get it back.

spell energy cap is an important thing, and to me the most valuable thing to spend coins on - cannot take full advantage of an opportunity unless prepared to do so.

a stat tracking use would be helpful to a lot of people, and likely to people giving advice on the forum.

i am more then halfway through level 35 wizard level and aside from four short trips to town of just a few hours each, have done it all from just 3 inns for spell energy. its rough, takes a lot of walking and walking and then chance to do a thing, but not impossible.

i support your request for energy tracking stat.

@Digitalis You post is exactly what I'm talking about, but I can't figure out who you are disagreeing with, you are the first person to mention energy cap. I was asking for a usage figure.

Your strategy to handle a lack of energy is the type of thing that would be useful to share if we knew someone was in a low energy density area.

@Osprey1 sorry buddy, i misread your original post and thought you meant energy cap in the first paragraph where you said 'lots and lots of energy'

kinda did figure the majority of my reply was the kind of data you were seeking though, to get a feel for how people manage it and what resource access they were working with.

Well, just create the "Stats" yourself.

I clicked this google-form that allows you (and us) to get a rough average of how many Energy each and every Inn is worth.

Feel free to submit as much data as you want: https://forms.gle/J13GHBPE9FsytFbQA

    (also, Feedback is much appreciated)
