What's with registry notifications?
Once the 1920s event registry was added I noticed that my registry tab has permanently got a red dot on it and when I click on it every single tab has a red dot on it but I have literally nothing on any page or any tab within any page that needs to be collected. So annoying!
Yet another bug? I was already pretty put out by the adventure sync and spell gift bugs that haven't been fixed yet...

Same issue for me. Drives me crazy.
I have same issue, think I have accomplished something … nope!
new bug
I’ve got this too but also noticed that any foundables obtained from Wizarding challenges are not updated so I can’t complete them. Seems to work fine for the other registry pages. Not sure if it will update once fixed…? Anyone else having the same issue?
I like how no one from niantic has bothered to even reply to this thread.
@BalboaCZ it appeared late friday and its now weekend, i dont expect any kind of reply or fix until monday after 10am pacific.
Also affected by this glitch / driving me crazy. I did not even know the adventure sync is not working. It works for Pokémon.
Yep having the same frustrating problem.
Me too! Please fix this bug. The red dots are annoying.
Same issue. So frustrating. Feels like the last bunch of releases have been one glitch after another.
Red dots everywhere.
Same issue for me. It's driving me crazy
It’s driving me up a freakin’ wall, too! 😩😭
Between that and the Portkey issue, I've about had it!
I will gladly live with the red dots if the would just fix the adventure sync and the spell energy gifts issue
To to add voice, i've the same issuessss
Same issue. The 4 red dots and unable to clear them
Very frustrating indeed. Those red notification dots are like little triggers for anxiety. I want them CLEARED, ASAP! And so I keep checking and checking and checking it. Its taking enjoyment from playing this game, which already has its issues. My portkeys never progress, and why do i get kicked off when trying to open a gift, etc?
While we are on the subject of notification, I have "Notify About New Assets" turned on, but I never get a notification when there are new assets to be downloaded.
Also often you can complete collecting a set of fragments, yet not get a notification, which means any future fragments collected are lost, unless you just happen to notice (20/20 or whatever) and click on them.
The entire notification section need some attention. With all the Registry buttons now red regardless of whether there is something that needs attention or not, maybe the priority on these issues will be raised. (And maybe monkeys will fly out of my a$$.)
Sorry Niantic, but your endless updates that add more problems than are fixed makes you programming staff look like a bunch of clowns, and your quality control staff (if any) is clearly collecting their paychecks on false pretences.
@BionicManster to address one point in your post: if an item hasn't been placed on a particular page yet (i.e. it isn't starred) then you will have a dot on the registry to let you know it's ready to place (assuming the perma dots ever go away). If an item is starred and you fill it up again then there is no notification.
I can't help with the rest of your post, but I agree with the points you make.
@MtPollux are you saying that not receiving a notification for filling up an item which you have done the initial time was INTENDED to be that way? I'm not blaming you whether that is, or is not the case, but what a moronic decision to make.
Anyone counted how many items there are to fill up on each of the registry pages? Is this just more busy work to keep your eyes on your phone, i.e. something that adds nothing to the game except wasting time? Every time you get a fragment, you need to check all your items to see if any have been filled up? (Yes, I usually notice the 15/15 or whatever, but too many times that notice is quickly hidden by some other message. Plus, frankly, I often can't remember what page contains what image, which leads to more wasted time searching for the one I just filled.)
Thanks for letting me know, MtPollus. Here I thought my opinion of HPWU's design and programming staff couldn't get any lower.
@BionicManster I don't know if it's the intended behavior or not, just what I've observed. I can't recall ever having seen anything official about that particular phenomenon.
As for opinions of the game's design and programming decisions... well, I don't have anything nice to say so I'll just leave it there.
