Forgotten Traces

Not sure if other Wizards and Witches have this issue, but I’ve not been seeing some traces for the longest time, so I’ve not been able to prestige certain frames.
As you can see, the above Oddities frame has been stuck there since the green star was implemented (first half of 2020, if I recall correctly), all because I’ve not seen any Brown Centaur traces since before then.
There have been so many events since green star implementation, but some of the traces have been forgotten by Niantic.
Also, the number of traces needed to max traces available from fortresses or portkeys, eg, Dragon Eggs, is so out of proportion to the other traces on the same page that, even if there are events to get portkeys for Dragon Eggs, etc, it takes a few such events to complete and prestige that frame. I understand there has to be some challenge to completing each frame, but this borders on the ridiculous. Like many other players have said, we do have our lives and daily commitments to take care of, and if the game is made so difficult and un-fun, players will likely be driven to other games which are more fun and make more sense.

Well, you are lucky enough to get to bronze. I'm still stuck at basic prestige because of that d mn common centaur.
Exactly, i read that a lot of players also face similar issues in getting the brown centaur. it seems like Niantic has taken the fun out of the game.
On top of that, all events are repetitive and boring, and when they try to add challenge to the event, it made us spent lots of time and potions just to get the tasks completed. We hardly get any red books in return.
Hope there will be more centaurs in the wild or include centaurs in the coming events.
As an oddity, the appearance of centaurs will be based on weather or time or location. Where I live, there have been lots recently. Googling suggests forests and/or clear skies, or dusk/night/dawn will improve the chances of seeing one.
@Muskrat191 There aren’t forests where I live, but I’ve certainly tried clear skies / dusk / night / dawn situations, and still haven’t seen a Brown Centaur since early last year…
Forest is not a requirement for brown centaur because i live near (about 22-ish km) a montain, there plenty of" small forest" or big spaces with many trees. Still no brown centaur. What the game mean with forest probably city park/garden with some trees and a must of visitation of crowded people with smartphone.
If I am not mistaken the official criteria is night or forests. (From an old OrangeWizard Graphic). I can confirm this through gameplay too. I get them sometimes instead of a pixie at night and near some area marked are forests or natural reserves. Hope this helps! (I have that page on gold btw)
I can add my anecdotal experience here as well. I live right next to a zoo with a public park next to it and see more brown centaurs than almost any other oddity.
