Need to reset intent to start if someone leaves
When I'm in a chamber waiting to do a Wizarding Challenge, I will not press "start" until I'm satisfied with the group that's waiting in the chamber. My expectation is that all members present will be participating in the challenge. My problem is when a key member of the group leaves and everyone else already has pressed "start". The game automatically dumps the remaining players immediately into the challenge, now without that key player.
I propose that if any player leaves the chamber before the challenge starts, that everyone's "start" intent automatically resets to off, giving players a chance to re-evaluate if they still want to start now that the group has dwindled.

That would certainly help me (and everyone else who has experienced the same thing) every time I get left alone once I pressed join. Especially now when they have increased the number of foes required in Forest and Dark Chambers.
When I used to play Forest Chamber I alone, I would get 5 to 7 foes, which is doable within the time limit without having to use any potion most of the time. Now, I get 10 foes all the time. I can only win it as a magizoologist when more than half of the foes are beasts. I hit start at Dark Chamber V to see how much foes I will get playing alone. I got 26 foes, and there was no way I could win that within the time limit even if all of them were beasts. I used to get 14 foes in Dark Chamber V before the update, and that was winnable as long as half were beasts, and there was no 5 star werewolf that could defeat me if it attacks me a couple of times (one after another without giving me a chance to use a potion).
I understand that they want to encourage us to play with other people but most of the time, I just don't feel like waiting for someone to join me. If they would let us play fortress challenges with friends without needing to use another app that my son does not trust, I would appreciate it a lot.
I agree. It takes too much time as it is finding a balanced team and then at last second they bail. Also hate it when we have a perfectly balanced team right off the bat but nobody will hit join until right at the last second because nobody trusts each other enough to start😂 I still enjoy it though because only one person I know plays
Good Proposal.
In the mean time I use following "code" to communicate my intent to others:
-I join for 1s then cancel: the group composition is fine and I am willing to go (ie as long as nobody leaves you can be confident I won't leave), but I prefer to wait some more time to fill remaining slots (and to ensure I will not be thrown in the challenge due to others leaving)
- Continuous join/cancel switches: let's go folks! Either the group is complete with good balance or we are in low level chamber and there is no use waiting for others.
