Hi everyone,
Here is a list of the top Known Issues that have escalated with 2.18.0.
The Portkey tutorial may reappear and prevent players from accessing their Portkey Vault.
There are a high amount of foes in Wizarding Challenges when a player uses the Brilliant Secrets Revealed Runestone.
- Opening Spell Energy Gifts causes the game to freeze.
SOS Assignments page appears blank.
- Adventure Sync does not collect fitness data for some players. (It will be fixed in the 2.19 update)
- Consuming a Potion can cause a game lag and in some instances, can kick the player out of a Wizarding Challenge.
We will add and update this list as needed. Please comment if you have any issues unique to this list. Thank you.

how about kick out of challenge (forced restart error) on knight bus? happened in high chamber (got those at Dark V) while it didnt happened in low chambers (for getting the hermione fragments).
anyway just asking, will there be 2 different update 2.18.1 and update 2.18a? the "a" update seems make 2.18.1 obselete will it?
Same. I got kicked from Dark V twice when using potions. Lost potions, challenges and runes. There are numerous threads under bugs about this. Thank you for the update!
The tip about leaving an unlocked portkey in with your portmanteau has silenced the tutorial for me! And not a moment too soon, Constance was a jolt every time!
I've also noticed that my spell mastery doesn't seem to be working the same... I've had a lower rate of great casts across a wide range of foundables, and a higher rate of disappearing ones too. Anyone else seeing this?
So no fix until at least Tuesday, and you haven't even discovered why adventure sync is broke so that won't be in Tuesday's fix. That's really sad, guess lots of folks won't finish this event.
Between every action I do the Adventure Sync square saying that I'm enabled pops up.
When you use the new potions icon, the "In Use" screen freezes. Same issue with using a potion from the vault icon.
Screen flashes when you return a foundable
While I appreciate you're looking into the above-referenced matters, it's adventure sync and mileage, the game does not count either for me.
In addition to adventure sync not working my in game walking is also not tracking. I have android
My game is not registering my steps since the upgrade and I'm unable to open portkeys.
Can confirm adventure sync isn't working with Android version 10 on Galaxy S9. If it's only some, could it be due to other security features installed?
@hpwulola How about fixing the existing Adventure Sync issues before rolling out an update?
It seems the latest update did not even attempt to address AS, and definitely created more AS issues, and possibly a new portkey distance tracking issue. Please concentrate on fixing AS and maybe vet your updates better.

@hpwulola So will Niantic and WB give everyone the portkey foundables for this current brilliant event that the update has screwed up? Players cannot unlock the portmanteaus using AS and many players cannot collect distance on portmanteaus even with the app open.
Please let us know how you will resolve these issues.

@hpwulola I think at this point the AS problem for Android is pretty universal given the comments I've seen - not just "for some players." Please prioritize accordingly seeing as how so many of us will now struggle to complete the events the team is adversing coming up.
Adventure sync has been broken on Android versions < 10 since the December 2020 release, when the Android 10 "background location" permission check was added to it.
Neither the March 2021 or the July 2021 updates fixed Adventure Sync for players using Android < 10.
With the 1920's Wizarding World being Portkey based, it is imperative that this is fixed before these events commence.
So you acknowledge that the game is utterly broken for Android users and yet you won't roll back to a working version?
You CANNOT play the game without credit for walking...and yet you won't prioritize letting users play!?!?!?
Who wants "new features" when all that happens is you BREAK the game?
Insane.
It's been a long time since I've seen any official mention of the long-running bug where Charmed traces disappear, sometimes coming back if you restart the game. Is that still under investigation?

I am not sure if anyone with iPhones is having any problems, but to add to the info being shared, Portkeys are working fine for me. I do get the tutorial or the connection error some of the time but I just go past them. They are opening fine though. I have an iPhone 12 Pro.
I am Android 9 and the aventure sync did not work for me month ago... please take this in account. No just for users of 10 and 11 versión.
Adventure sync not working and keeping the app open and walking noy working. Android 7. This latest update totally broke AS on my one android where it was working. I was still waiting for it to be fixed on my Samsung s7 from previous updates
Cant complete daily tasks or events. Why isnt this a priority when a lot of players are at a definite disadvantage that they can do nothing about. Roll back the updates until you can fix things!
Please roll back the feature that allows the player to use mulitple potions... Well intended, I guess, but it means that you have to tap an additional time to get back to the map, so you have to tap an additional time when you only want to use one potion (which is like 95% of the time), have the same amount of taps when using two and only save one tap when you want to chug 3 (does that ever happen?).
So, in almost all cases this actually means that the new feature makes using potions LESS convenient, while it probably is intended to make it more convenient.
Also having an issue with AS and it's not even tracking for the daily walk 0.25km so not been able to collect daily rewards fully because of it I hope they make it a priority now as this latest update has completely screwed the game up
Some other minor bugs:
1. Young Ron Weasley has an orange flare which wrong. Also baby mooncalf is still orange.
2. I don't know is anyone has noticed this change in the game:
When your family XP reaches max for trunks and overflows, it doesn't show the overflow in reward screen
3. The red dot for gifts disappears as soon as it appears.
It shouldn't disappear until you go to your friend list and view that gift
The sync worked for me until the last update. Not since the update. I tried everything, but nothing worked (switch on / off again, reassign the authorization ...)

@hpwulola thank you! But... adventure sync is broken and not for "some players" but for all android users. It's a huge nasty and critical bug. Hope you can fix. Really.

Why are you not fixing the issue of not being able to log in unless you’re on wifi? There are three of us here with the exact same issue. Since the update, all the crashes and restarts plus this log in issue make it screamingly frustrating to play. It’s incredibly slow when returning foundables, traces disappear, foundables take 4 shots to return (or flee), it crashes on collecting gifts… ugh. So frustrating!
I’m just about done if the wifi log in doesn’t get fixed. Why have a mobile game you can’t play outside of your home wifi? I haven’t even seen it acknowledged by you people. It feels like it’s getting worse, not better. 😩
Rant over. Please sort it out.🤞
I’m on iPhone XR and have several of these issues:
portkey tutorial, gift opening crash, crashing from wizard challenge with potions in use and losing the xp and potions, freezing when selecting potions, charmed traces disappear until restarting the app, phantom challenge foes showing up on entry.
Portkeys aren't opening at all Adventure sync on or not doesn't make a difference & I've got a Full complement...blue screen flashing everytime you click on a foundable ...almost every foundable is disappearing after one cast so a waste of spell energy & that's without the opening gifts issues .....& to top it all off we're about to go into an event that's focused on Opening Portkeys FIX THIS PLZ
