Rune stone problem.

I might be in trouble. Even though I knew this was a 2 part event, I thought they’d still have separate counters. So I used all my event runestones on the first part of the event 😰
Guys, don’t be like me. I hope you all saved your stones for the second part of the event. It’s going to take a lot of work for me to be able to get more stones, because I’m already at level 24 with the counter.

I'm in the same boat. I had 2 runes left from prior because I used them after the fact last time.
I still have 15 with family level 27. What annoyed me most is the significant increase in flee rate and resistance rate. 9 spell casts, 7 masterful 2 great for a mooncalf???
@Valorshu - That snitch is a [rhyme word here].
I saved mine just in case. Granted I didn’t have many left because the jumper drop rate sucked. But better than none, so I’m thankful of that.
I only had two, and today when I used one of them, I got nothing from it. I’m really worried that I won’t be able to finish the event because of this 😭
@JulieJubz - You can get more by ranking up which means hitting all the purple banner (event) confoundables you find.
I know that's not the best answer, but each time you capture one of those, it increases your family XP and therefore rank... and when you rank up, you'll get another runestone.
Sadly, a lot of the foundables are still Hedwig and Harry... but it will at least help you rank up to get more runestones.
I save everything so I'm in good shape. Phew
@Craeft oh trust me, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I just really hope I’ll be able to get enough runestones to finish this thing. Leveling up family XP past 25 takes forever lol.
I had 22 runestones left over. I did a series of fortress level 4 (still stuck on formidable pixies) and I didn't get anything for the event from it. I am concerned that the left over runestones aren't working.
I was lucky last event and got my jumper in 5 tries. So I had about 16 runes that I held onto because I was scared of this situation. I again got the item in 5 battles, so it worked with my held-over runes.
Good luck to all though, because that does sound ultra-scary and difficult.
@Crogabattoir the stones are working. I had several leftover and used three and got two fragments.
I think I’ve gotten two fragments out of four battles, from part 1 runes, chamber 6 and 2 I think, so knock on wood, the drop rate seems ok. But all the same, good luck everyone!
Please note: the "old" 7km portkeys give harry's trunk. So not the new fragment! /offtopic
The runes seem to give new fragments, though they're not that easy to acquire. I've been **** like mad to get fresh event runestones to battle with....
I finally managed to get 4 runes after a lot of ****. Really hoping they will be enough?! Who knows lol. Especially since one already failed me 😭
REALLY glad I didn’t keep any of the portkeys then! Glad to know that detail for future events @Punkyfins
The runestones worked for me today and I also got my last two formidable pixies as an added bonus finally moving on from them.
Today was a good day for me in the Wizarding World!
Should we hold onto the left over runestones for a future possible third installment or just burn through them? What do you think?
I say burn through them. This was announced as a two part event and the pages are complete.
I had a bunch of Runestones left over, and got the 3 new fragments in three tries. I still have a bunch left.
I'm hoping these 4 Portmanteau that are about to unlock contain the 3 Ministry ID fragments. LOL
@Crogabattoir I also say burn through them. So far it’s been pretty easy getting the family XP for at least the first 15 levels. So that means in the next event you’ll probably get at least 15 stones super easy.
But if it’s a two part event again, just remember so save them for the second part, that’s all. Haha 😆
I had saved my rune stones from part 1 so no problem. However I have now used every single rune stone I had (of every family) and I had a whole lot of them (about 2 hours worth of them) and still need more Common Dark Wizards. (Have 1/3 - They just do not show up,) If you make something that rare then the task should be to find Just One or have more time: like it took me 3 weeks to get those bleepity-bleep Formidable Pixies, but I wasn’t on a time limit so not to bad, but only one weeks time to find three of something that wipes out so many stones to get just one?? is very very wrong.
@Konada oh, that much is actually because of your profession. Everyone’s been saying to go over to Auror for a little while so you can get the common dark wizards!
I had loads left over from part 1, but stupidly used some inbetween! Thankfully i have a few left, but reading the advice on the announcement it doesn't mention any rewards specifically for finishing the event in Fortresses- or am i missing something? (Usually lol)
It says they are to be found in the street & the portkeys & by completing event tasks. So we get Daily Prophet pieces with the runes for now.
I got weasley sweater 3 for 3! And then kept getting it many times after- so lucky there!
Ive definitely noticed an increased rate of confoundables departing & the tougher task of dealing with lower level confoundables that usually are captured first go. Rather annoying waste of spell energy so topping up regular is a must at min for me.
Annnnd!!! Oh my goodness- 5 weeks and I've still yet to encounter a formidable pixie!! Argh!!
@AuroraKadavra yes, the daily prophet fragments are from using the potters calamity runestones in the fortress. Go have fun!

Life is a bit tough at min so it's a very welcome distraction where fun can be had & all else forgotten 😊
Hey! I have the same problem. Used my runstones and now I cant get anything from the fortresses!!!!! Any advice? I should have look for this place before playing .... I believe I’m going to be in trouble to finish this event.
@Bernis389 - Are you talking about your event runestones? If so, really the only option is to just keep capturing event foundables to increase your registry XP. I'm in the same boat. LOL
