Witches and Wizards,
Wands at the ready, Gilderoy Lockhart Adversaries will test your duelling mettle! Bring this dangerous situation under control and get a glimpse into The Unforgivable's reasons for unleashing Adversaries.
From June 28 at 11 a.m. PT – July 1 at 11 a.m. PT, keep an eye out for the following:
- Increased Adversary sightings of Gilderoy Lockhart Adversaries.
- Increased sightings of the creatures referenced in Lockhart’s books, including Vampires, Hags, Trolls, Gnomes and more.
- Increased spawns of Wit-Sharpening Potion ingredients, such as Armadillo Bile, Ginger Root, Ground Scarab Beetles and Newt Spleen.
- Master Notes will reduce all variants of Exstimulo and Wit-Sharpening Potions brew time by 25%
- Increased Wizarding XP, Challenge Family XP and Energy Rewards from completing Wizarding Challenges.
- Players Level 4 to Level 14 will be able to access a special Baruffio’s Spotlight Event during this time.
Please note: To enable as many players around the world as possible to participate safely, this event has been adjusted to facilitate playing from wherever you are. Please remember to adhere to local rules and regulations, and be respectful of others and your surroundings.

Looks like it's story of adveseries dark arts and we need more edm to collect portrait from Lockhart too.
Isn't there just one foundable guarded by a banshee? One of the portraits I think...

@Nhix I have always thought that Salazar Slytherin's portrait was guarded by a snake. It is Voldemort, a Slytherin, who is guarded by a snake. Thank you very much for the information.
I've been kicked out of every Lockhart adversary encounter after the second pixie since the event started (4 so far).
How can I finish the challenge when the game is so obviously rigged?
The foundables returned that are guarded by trolls are not being registered for the task.
I was kicked out of the wizard challange ( in the las page **** lockhart) and it simply closed, not giving me any of the rewards.. is there any way to get the dark mark, energy and potions used back?
Are there specific foundables guarded by trolls that count or is it any? I’ve returned a few but only three have counted. And they were three that infographics online indicated were boosted with tonic for trace detection.
Barruffio potion is not working for the required XP from challenges. Please fix it.
Baruffio only works for wizard xp. Not for challenge xp. Nothing to fix there ;-)
Hey, is the magical magaphone not considered to be guarded by a troll? Even though it's guarded by a troll?
is it possible that you are mixing gnomes with trolls? For me all the troll foundables counted so far including the magical megaphone.
@hpwulola I am adding to the comments that Troll guarded traces are not counting towards the task. I definitely returned one and it still says 0/8.
The one that I returned that did not count was the one guarding Occamy Eggs. The ones guarding Prophecy Record and Flesh-Eating Slugs did count. Is this intentional?
Funny that mountain troll has been counted in for me even though it is a foundable and not the one being guarded.
Troll guarding dueling dummy worked for me (as did others, not sure which all).
usually this kind of task only count for those boosted (look into the info graphic which trolls would be boosted).
i dont know about other trolls but i'm only found the boosted one and it were counted.
@Kodokmag The only one that didn't seem to work for me was the one guarding the Occamy Eggs. It's basically the same animation as the one with the Prophecy Record so maybe it's just an oversight. It definitely is not just the ones that are boosted, though.
Is the portrait of Slytherin the only banshee foundable? Am I missing something? That task is holding me up.
Just wanted to say I like the tasks in this event. I was thinking "huh Lockart AGAIN". But I like the themed tasks.

Is it me or the gnomes are suddenly non-existence since I got to the bonus task? Even with ttdt? Why are you making it difficult for us? 😭 I can barely walk!!!
The 'portraits' for the bonus task are not counting for me... is it just the portrait of Lockhart from the adversary encounters? Anything else working for anyone? I've done about 5 adversary battles and 3 portraits have dropped, but only one is counted as a reward now...

@CheekyNiffler only the portraits from Lockhart encounters count, that's what the task specified

So, another event where the type of Adversary encounters that spawn is baffling. This time, I can get Lockhart spawns with an EDM, but since I am out running some errands, I have checked all the ones I see “in the wild.” I’ve found one Lockhart, even though I’ve probably checked at least 20-25 or so Adversary Traces. Is he supposed to be boosted or not?!
