Players with disabilities

So earlier this week, I had major abdominal surgery, therefore I am hospitalized and unable to get out of bed. The task this week requires visiting 3 greenhouses and opening 4 portkeys...all of which I can't do at this time. I messaged Niantic and they said there was nothing they could do to help me complete those tasks. Yet I saw several posts of people complaining they couldn't complete the 2 masterful flippendo task, and Niantic quickly and kindly marked those tasks complete for those players. How unfortunate that they don't accommodate players with disabilities. :(

My biggest pet peeve with the game. I am wheelchair bound. It's meant to be played to encourage exercise but I can't roll all over the place in my chair. And any greenhouses or inns I know of are downtown. Those are very unevenly distributed anyway though. Some of these changes for covid have made the game more enjoyable for me, because I can complete the daily tasks for now. Grateful for the permanent addition of the knight bus though because I wasn't able to do challenges often until it was added so I was missing so many fragments and missing out on coins. Not looking forward to them changing back the inn task because so much of the game I have to pay for already because good ingredients are hard to come by where I live and energy isn't cheap so once the ground energy goes I'll have to start stacking it for several days at a time to get to play

@TheDarkLordTom I'm sorry you had to experience that and I can imagine it must be very frustrating not being able to get events done!
I'm guessing that the masterful Flipendo situation must have caused loads of high volume requests. I recall many players still stated that their task wasnt completed for that task.
Likewise I think the predicament is somewhat similar, especially when its weekend, when theres limited staff, or covid regulations may have caused lower amounts of active staff. I personally assume that it's to keep that everyone is treated fairly with the fixes, and to have the time to prioritize other important things that make sure the game runs smoothly.
