I started playing after Brilliant Flora and Fauna event

So now I'm level 26 and I want to complete the registry. Is there a way for me to complete the registry? Are there any plans for past events to return? The empty sheet and the missed restricted books seems like a wall to me. Thanks.

From what I understand, restricted books will only be garnered from special events. Expect many more to come. As for past events returning, it seems likely as the frames for these events can continue to be ranked up. You might want to think long term in respect to 'completing' the Registry. I can't even see the horizon on that one, and I'm not sure I ever will considering the growing, expanding nature of these games today.

@ZookiTabooki I'm not quite sure what you're referring to the frames ranking up? Event pages can't be prestiged.

Maybe I misunderstood him, but I took his comment to mean that registry page (flora and fauna) is still live and allows for ranking up. I still have some f&f runestones left, started using them to go book hunting. Ranked up another level on Thursday even though the event is well over. Got some brilliant acromantulas as well. I’m curious if it will allow for prestiging if they ever repeat the event, but idk. Since you’re a beta player, have any events repeated yet?

The first event was a repeat for us.

Yes the fragments can still be collected from portmanteau and fortresses after the event from items gained during the event.

I really keep my fingers crossed for no repeat of events though. If it's all new then we all get great family XP on all our returns.

So you couldn’t prestige and start over with the rest of us? Bummer.

No we couldn't. We've been screwed over in quite a few ways. One, the SOS tasks, we're all stuck doing the mystery items. The quest prior was **** posting DA stickers as most players had to prestige the registry to gold before it was possible.

We got a head start on green books but...

I've spent I calculate about 90 red books on skills that now require green books.

It sounded good at the time until you realise how many challenge ranks we have to level to get the rest of our red books.

After the next event I will however have all the green books that I need.

Now it's just too daunting for me with red books I am only doing 1 challenge a day as I see it as almost impossible to complete my foundation training.

I have reached out to one of the staff on Discord but... shall I hold my breath now or wait a bit?

I have seen many changes to challenges since we started and I'm hoping they de-nerf it so we have a chance.

@Hermo1ne I think it makes sense to have return events giving new players a chance to catch up. I see what you mean though about losing out on Family XP once you have collected enough fragments to place an image. I had to think about that one. I don't see these frames ever being prestiged; this would make return events harder and harder with every repeat. I think a better solution like allowing us the option to reset an event page when said event returns would be better. This way we don't miss out on 'image placing XP'.

A solution that I would be happy with is okay redo the event as long as those that have already done it can still do the quest chain for rewards. And...

If they increase family XP to what it was originally in beta. You actually received a bonus point on top of what you would have received prior to sticker placement.

Yes folks, that is really how it was and what I've been trying to get across to people about the max fragment nerf. We used to get runes at about 1 per 20-25 returned foundables. Now we're getting 1 family XP for low, 2 for medium and 3 for high threats. As I experienced a few days ago I returned 147 foundables before getting a rune.

My only issue with the events are that some players have the ability to complete their pages event after the event is over. While I can't finish mine cause the piece I'm missing has nothing to do with the challenges or portkeys. It seems a bit unfair.

They are called events for a reason. Other people still able to complete their registry participated in the event to get the rune stones, portmanteau etc.

If they were permanent it would defeat the purpose of having an event which is is designed to get the hype up and people out playing.

Have you ever played Pogo? I've lost count how many limited time events with limited time quest chains. Then there's the community days that focuses on a specific pokemon sending people into a frenzy chasing their shiny variant. Yes, you can catch them in the wild after the event but they become very rare. You can only get the special "move" during and 1 hour after your community day.

I can understand the Pogo system: time events greatly reward players, but after those events have ended you can still get to complete your collection (with extra effort). But for a game like Wizards Unite, this young, being unable to complete (or try to complete) the registry its a big issue for me. I hope devs make it possible to do so.

I’m not sure I’m understanding the issue... are people upset they can’t complete an event they weren’t actually present for?

Tbh, with my personality I can see both sides of this.

Side A: Events are to be completed within the time frame they should be completed within. As a player who started with the game from the beginning, I enjoy looking at all the things I accomplished. I can see the registry pages filled out and remember what I thought when I was collecting them (like HATING seeing Buckbeak). I get excited to know I am complete and I participated in everything. I’m a little excited I have things others don’t because it makes me feel like my time spent collecting everything was worth it.

Side B: I’m petrified there will be an event that comes at a time that I won’t be able to complete. I have an exciting trip to China at the end of the year, and if it falls during an event week I will probably have difficulty completing the tasks. Then I know I will go back and see that one piece empty and the “completionist” in me will fill discouraged, and then eventually decide “I can’t complete it all anyway, so I give up.”

90% of the time I fall somewhere in the middle of those two camps. So I can really relate with both sides. However, I don’t want to sit around and repeat events all the time. So I can see why the game for the most part has to move on, but does give a few opportunities to fill pieces out. I think the way they are doing it with this second part is their way of “trying” to appease both camps.

Today I contacted support and asked about past events missing stickers. They answered that there aren't any plans to allow players to complete past event stickers. As I see things, this game has bad new player experience, specifically hard core new players. In conclussion, I'll stop playing this game (done in-app purchases and I was lvl 31) and wait for the next Ar game. Thanks to all thread participants. See you.

I absolutely agree that events should be redone at least once. When the first one happened, my cousin had just died suddenly in a car accident. As you can imagine, Wizards Unite wasn’t my priority. By the time I went to play again, I had a day left to complete the event. I would love the opportunity to complete it as it just sits empty now. I don’t see the harm in having a week or so where old events are revisited for those like me who missed it or for those who started playing after they happened. I’d welcome it!
