Often, when I mention someone in a post or comment, I click on the user name that populates as I'm typing, and it sometimes clears an entire line of text. If I'm tagging the user at the beginning of the comment, the entire comment box will sometimes disappear. You can go to drafts on the right, find it, and continue.
Speaking of drafts, that's kind of buggy too. There's a draft for nearly every post or comment I make that just remains there. I recently cleared them all, but they just immediately start accumulating again.
Sometimes a post or comment won't show up, and there is no noticeable notification that it's being held for approval, so you type it again and end up double posting. It's nice that you can edit a post or comment, but it would be cool if you could also delete them.
Some of the issues I've encountered here seem indicative of a need for better load balancing, but most of it appears to be due to a glitchy platform (VanillaForums). In my younger days, I was all about open-source platforms, because I just wanted to stick it to the man! Nowadays, in my old age, I just want stuff to work and I'm willing to pay for it.

Yeah. I've been noticing that a lot too. I brought up the tagging people problem and got a response (I think from @HPWUMicah ) that they're working on that one. Hopefully it'll happen soon because it's really annoying to try to type a comment that you have to go back and edit the actual content.
Hi folks, @Craeft is correct that this is a known issue that we are working on resolving. A workaround is to just refresh the page, which will load the saved draft and not cause you to post an incomplete reply.

@HPWUcasey - Just a heads up, the refresh option doesn't necessarily work. I tried that method earlier and it just brought up the blank comment box. I ASSUME that it's because it occurred prior to the auto-draft save feature notification pop up (e.g. I hit [ENTER] to enter the tag before the notification and therefore, it wasn't saved).
I feel I should add another issue I recently ran into and this seems as good a thread as any...
I usually use these forums on my desktop which is where the tagging issue happens. However, when I am on my mobile device, there's a different issue: copy/paste. When I long press to get the copy/paste/etc. menu to pop up, it flickers on and then immediately goes away. I have to long press multiple times before it eventually stays long enough for me to hit "Paste".
I haven't been able to replicate this issue on any other forums or apps - just this one.

Thanks for the update @Craeft, you're correct in your assumption that the blank box after the refresh is because the draft didn't save yet. Unfortunately, in that case there's nothing that you can do except to rewrite your draft :(
Regarding the paste issue, that's good to know. I'll escalate this issue to our platform team. Thanks for reporting!
