Lockdown and events.

I have seen a lot of people saying they're under lockdown hence unable to complete the tasks.
Just want a thread to know
1> Where everyone is from and
2> What kind of lockdown are you facing?
I'm in the UK and we're opening up. I'm still mostly house bound due to my pregnancy.

I'm in northern California. We are not under lockdown. I am still working from home, so I don't leave the house most days, but I could if I wanted to. And we're re-opening in a couple of weeks.

Singapore and we are on Heightened Alert due to a current outbreak. It's not a full lockdown but we are under stricter restrictions and encouraged to stay home. I am not willing to risk my health to go out just to find a greenhouse to complete a game task. Guess I'm not doing this event because of the insensitive way the developers have decided to go with the task.
Athens, Greece here. Lockdowns are slowly easing up, vaccinations are 5.402.105 overall, 3.532.565 1st dose and 1.967.849 2nd dose. There is always still fear of local lockdowns or even overall lockdown if new cases sky **** what with tourists incoming. Curfew is still in effect from 00:30 until 05:00. And congrats! May s/he/they live long and prosper!
I am in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have never been under any sort of lockdown. The first few weeks, back in March 2020, we were asked to stay home, work from home if possible, and go out for necessary shopping trips only. Mask rules came along shortly after which I mostly have not seen anyone have a problem with. Non essential stores and services were closed briefly in the beginning but places started opening up pretty quickly. Restaurants and fast food places never really closed. They did take out/curbside/delivery only in the early days, but have been open for dine-in at limited capacity for months now.
Currently it seems pretty much back to normal with the exception of masks being required indoors most places. The only really big change we had was the closing down of out of town tourism but even that is approaching normal again. I believe the only thing still impacted is really the buffets. Some will be closing down for good, and the few that remained open are still not really working buffets because they require you to tell a server what to get you.
I have been careful and chose not to risk any more than necessary, using takeout/curbside for dining and curbside pickup or delivery for groceries, except for some items which my daughter did the shopping for.
I have however been able to drive to the various parks and other locations with Inns and Greenhouses that also tend to have a lot of trace, ingredient, adversary, and spell energy spawns. I just stay in my car and play for a while and then move on to the next location. It’s worked fine for me but I realize not everyone has that option.
Sorry this is so long! I hope those who are still facing difficulties get back to a more normal life soon.

Work from home is a nightmare, especially when you're cooped up together for over a year! I try going for short walks. There are three inns and a greenhouse just a few meters away from my building but there are days I can't be bothered.
It is quite annoying asking people to go to greenhouses. It seems like the developers are working on the lockdown rules of wherever they're based.
St. Louis, Missouri here. My kid has been virtual learning until a month or so ago. Masks were required. Now if you have gotten the vaccine you can choose not to wear one in certain instances. Easier to find items at stores. I usually visit greenhouses or inns via car but have some in my neighborhood.

@ArtieV it's not a query- just curiosity. What's wrong in asking? And why should I look it up? I'm not the game developer. Lockdowns are clearly affecting a lot of people's games. Maybe this thread would give the Niantic staff an insight?
But what is really wrong is asking?
