I have seen many complaints about the extremely arduous nature of achieving this feat. So I have spent many hours and a lot more money than I should have. But I'm a Harry Potter fan and wanted to pass the event. Now there are only about a day and a half left and I don't feel there is any hope. As with other games, they are being taken in a direction that makes them unattainable for the average person. I do not understand the business model that alienates people who don't mind spending extra time and dollars on these special events. I am so very disappointed. I do not believe Hogwarts would not approve.
I am annoyed that I will not finish this game over the task of cast 2 masterful flipendo spells. I have spent 3 days and a lot of the time on this. Not happy.
I've been playing this game since it came out and had maybe ONE masterful flipendo in all that time. There is no way for me to do two in order to complete this challenge.
I’m infinitely disappointed and sad. I’ve been playing for more than 2 years and I think I may be done now.... this game has been getting me through the pandemic... but I think it’s time to move on. I can’t get masterful on flipendo no matter all the trick on Reddit ..... I buy lots on coins and have been a huge supporter... I’ve even supported during a lot of the changes others have criticized....just sad and disappointed
I saw the previous discussion on the Flippendo was closed but I didn’t get my comment in. I have tried super hard to do this for 2 days now and cannot get even one Masterful on this spell. Please complete mine

I left a comment on the other active thread about this but I wanted to cover the bases. I managed to luck out and get one masterful cast (no idea how). GOT IT !!!! GOT THE SECOND ONE!! I used a potent estimulo and traced it fast and just a bit below the marked path. Hope that helps.
Still trying to get the Masterful but it's not going anywhere. I've tried the square root trick - most of the time it gives a spell incomplete error or stays at fair .
If I was asked by a new player about the game, I would tell them to walk away from it. Too many impossible tasks, lack of acknowledgement of the issues players face, game shaming of casual players by people who finish events in a day while others struggle. The game has turned into a PAY to PLAY game to get any advancement. I understand that the corporate end game is to make money but if it causes people to abandon the game, maybe the admins need to stop and take a moment and ask WHY?
Niantic/WB - you can fix this now by removing Masterful casts (and casts in a row) from the task list for this event and going forward.
Got one early by accident and figured that was it. But I just got the second and this time I remember how it went. I used a potent estimulo and then traced the spell quickly and did it just slightly under where the marked path was. It seems with lots of the spells that being quick and slightly off the trace path will get you the masterful cast. VERY SLIGHTLY OFF. Anyway, that’s how I managed to just squeak out the second cast. To avoid wasting energy and potions, I only do the ones that have flipendo. I back out of the others. Hope that helps. There are a couple of threads where you can ask for help from admin with the task and they are doing it. So go there and get your name in as a backup.
I too need help on this one. I have cast close to 100 flipendos and no success. I've given up in past events on masterful casts, so maybe for this one, you could make an exception.
I normally love all events but totally drained & frustrated after not being able to finish flipendo task. I am level 51 and have play since beginning and give up after trying for 4 days. Could you please complete this task for me so I can move on. Normally I can do masterful casts but find this one impossible and am not enjoying the game anymore. I would appreciate your help this one time.

Less than a day before the end of the event and I still haven't been able to complete it due to the flipendo's masterful spell, I said before in another post that I have a limitation in my right hand due to arthritis, due to repetitive movements due to my profession. I can't express how disappointed I am with Niantic because of this lack of respect for the players, I also couldn't open all the portals because I'm at home because of the covid, my city is in lockdown, so I can't leave the house to open the portals and counted on the extra prizes of the bonus task, as synchro-adventure remains a major problem in the game, in which it does not count the daily steps. Please, I would like you to do something about it, I will be very upset if I am unable to complete the event due to the lack of respect from the Niantic team, especially in times so difficult of the pandemic we are experiencing, the game has always been a distraction for me, but lately all I feel is disrespect. Do something about it urgently, my user is lucasluis29
@HPWULOLA I finally reached the last part (I live in a rural area where few foundables appear) but like many others I struggle to achieve Masterful on flipendo let alone finding enough foundables with flipendo even with tonic. I've seen many people got this task marked complete (red book not rewarded obviously) at least I would like to finish this event before 12 hrs left is gone! Much appreciated!
