Challenge Lobby Enhancements
When someone leaves a lobby:
* Auto-cancel everyone's "join" button
* If there is less than 15 seconds left, put 15 seconds on the clock
This adresses 2 issues:
* You have a diverse team of 5, 4 people hit join but the last person, possibly the only one in their profession, leaves. The battle starts immediately short-handed.
* You have a diverse team of 4. You are willing to start with 4 but you are not hitting join to see if you can get a 5th at the last second. You see someone bail out with 5 seconds left and you don't have enough time to get out.

Good suggestions, I wholeheartedly agree.
Good suggestions
I'd also add a button to vote for extending the clock generally, if you have say three or four but no balance and waiting for the missing professor/auror/magizoologist and the clock is running down
There's probably a limit to the buttons you can have on screen though
you are not considering that the person who left might have left b/c s/he has another 4 friends waiting and randos (every1 else) keep jumping in and 'ruining' their 5 party, so send everyone in and then no more randos. Have had tha thappen.
Other than that, there's merrit to your ideas that hopefully -altho I am by no means holding my breath- the devs listen to.
@Drakonite The OP didn’t say anything about why the person has left, just made suggestions that might help the ones who are left behind. The reason they left isn’t important, just that it can sometimes put the ones who are still in the lobby in a bad position, and having the option/more time to decide if you want to stay or not would be helpful.
it is important b/c it impacts the ones left behind. the enhancements proposed are a good idea but if all the reasons of why some1 left arent considered theyre not gonna help as much.
@Drakonite the solution to what you describe is to implement some sort of invite system in the fortress.
Either way, OP's proposed features would still help many more people than they would inconvenience.
@Drakonite No, it’s really not important why they left as the OP’s proposed changes do not impact the person who has left in any way. Whether they left because they had a bad connection, didn’t like the group dynamics, realized they needed to do something outside the game, were looking for friends, or some other reason doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that the people left behind might be forced into the game with an incomplete team or undesirable mix of professions. The suggested changes merely give the players still remaining time to decide if they want to stay or not. The person who is long gone is not even a consideration at that point.
I did not say OPs proposed changes are bad, i agreed w them. and well agree to disagree on the rest.
it may be greedy of me, but I think the suggestions here are all excellent, and (as has already been provided by the thread) for slightly different reasons. Avoiding a late leaver sending everyone else in to the chamber would be a great improvement as would both an invite system and a clock extension vote.
Yes yes yes. If 4 players click Join and the 5th leaves, the battle should NOT start immediately -- this creates a huge disincentive to hitting Join, then players get frustrated and leave, and the process deteriorates.
