Really??? Figuring out how to get the Angelina Johnson traces was hard enough. Potions aren't worth the rewards with 2 other events coming soon. Just can't brew them fast enough. But another task with masterful spells is a joke....wont even try...totally dishearting again

I know players who have cast fewer than 12 masterful casts in the entire time they've been playing. That sort of task is a nice challenge for some of us, but it is demoralising to those who just can't do it.
And I totally agree about the potion requirements, basically we're being asked to brew and waste potions between two Adversary events which require the use of a lot of potions.
I too was going to just skip this event because of the masterful skill requirement; however, I learned that casting a masterful spell isn’t too hard, as it requires speed not accuracy. Even though I have poor hand mobility, that ended up being the first task I completed.
brew 12 basic invigs, you can use all of them in 1 D5, for the masterfuls try the water charm (brilliant hermione) or the weather charm (baby hippogryf), or epublio (chicken w fireworks bubble thingy), theyre the easiest.
I am on level 42 and NEVER been able to cast a materful spell. I cast great ones all the time, but never higher. VERY frustrating. Can't get final rewards after completing every single other task. Seriously becoming not worth my time to play with all the issues I have in the game.
I know how you feel, since the debut of the game I’ve got a total of 25 masterful. Now Îm supposed to complete 10 in 2 days. Îm trying my best but I got big fingers and like many I get the very good ones but the perfect or masterful like you say,... no way. Like Pokemon Go, if they had asked for one, I would have tried very very hard to achieve it. But with 10 I don’t want to spend my time and energy just to be frustrated in the end. A game has to be a game, with challenges I agree.
I am 49th level and have made far more than 500 masterful spell casts while playing. However, everyone can’t do this easily or with any great frequency. I barely did the last one where you had to do 3 in a row. These kinds of tasks can make this game an unpleasant job. Having to spend hours every day of an event to do a manual dexterity test, is not a good way to keep players. I sat down to finish this task this evening and did. However, my wife has had more trouvle doing this. When a game becomes “a job”, it is not fun anymore.
It's called a Bonus Assignment for a reason - it's a bonus if you complete it, but you don't have to. I didn't complete a few of the Bonus Assignments from the fall Brilliant events and I'm doing just fine in the game. Take a break today and then hit Adversaries tomorrow 🤷🏼♂️
Every1 wants to complete bonus, not every1 wants or can put in the effort the devs 'demand'. BE are boring and tedious I can't blame any1 who doesnt want the effort but wants the meagre rewards.
No you don't *have* to complete the Bonus. However those of us who are affected by the Adventure Sync/non-registering of distance walked need to complete the bonus to get certain rewards. There's always one piece that either you walk off the Brilliant Portkeys or you complete the Bonus. (This feature was originally designed to accommodate Covid restrictions.)
I agree. It’s SUPER FRUSTRATING!!! I’m completely done with the full event EXCEPT I only have 4 of the 10 masterful spell casts. I keep trying and when my casts look almost perfect (with decent speed as well) they still only pull a “great “. This is ridiculous!
masterfull cast doesnt need a perfection, its need a drawing speed faster than half bar of the top meter and a 'Green' cast (which have the most push to the right side of the bar) which happened if you connect the red dot right and connecting the red dot doesnt always give a perfect picture like the spell.

Not worth the time, only to get a few measly gold coins or an ingredient item. If I were guaranteed at least 3-5 DADA books, I will watch the ads.

I am really truly trying to see where people are seeing the masterful spellcast requirement. What am I not seeing?
Ah never mind. I see that this recent conversation about the ad revived an old thread, and I had just seen a new post about people seeing a master notes requirement.
So I thought it was trending. 🙃
