Step sync stopped working

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I did all of my quests except steps. Went shopping. Right before midnight, I logged in to claim my rewards, and it showed zero steps. Not the first time. Last time that I reported it, they told me that it was a known bug. They know it's an issue. They don't compensate you. It's getting really old. I don't play as much as I used to. Either fix the bug or take the step reward off. Can't unlock portkeys. Can't get daily reward. I'm really getting tired of it.
