Treasure trunk Spell books

Question, I now have 9 of the 10 SOS Treasure Trunk lessons the give you a chance to receive a Spell book. I have now opened 36 treasure trunks from my 9 earned lessons and have not yet received a single
Spell book. Is this usual, or is there something I need to do to activate the Spell book award?

its rng, and it should be around 5% so 5 rbs (1 per trunk) every 100 trunks. Also they are heavily bugged. the hogw 9 3/4 fam is fully bugged and doesnt give any reds atm, and im not sure which one(s) but the magiz fam is crisscrossed w another, b/c i didnt have the magiz fam node and I got a magiz trunk w a red book in. So one of the nodes says Fam A but gives magz and magz says magz but probs gives another fam's trunks.
But bugs aside its very random and very low %, so the more trunks you open the more chances to see a red inside.
personally ive seen 9 reds in 80 Ministry trunks, 5 from 89 WOW trunks, 3 from 109 oddity trunks, 1 from 70 comc trunks 1 from magiz in 50 trunks and 1 from magical games and sports in 40+ trunks. as of yday ive got all of those nodes and ive yet to see a red from: DA, MA, LOH and Hogw which is bugged so dont expect it to give me any.
another person i know had the comc node for three months now and it gave him his 1st red a few days ago, and he opens trunks daily.
I have 2 of those talents unlocked and have recieved 1 RSB in 3 months. I play every day and have unlocked 100's of chests.
Definitely a broken system....
1 out of 160 trunks with possible spell book reward for me so far.
I saw other people getting an inn, a trace, and a greehouse charm at the same time from trunks, it never ever happened to me. Not even two in the same time.
Typical Niantic number (not random!) generator. Some devices or userids get always lucky, while others (like me) always unlucky.
