iOS Purchasing Issues in Wizards Unite

Witches and wizards,
We are aware of the in-app purchasing issues impacting our iOS players and are investigating potential fixes.
In-app support can assist players with requests to trade Gold for in-app items. We are currently experiencing a high-volume of tickets, and we appreciate your patience.
Due to support limitations, our support team cannot assist with adding complimentary items or with purchasing Gold.
We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue. Once we have a fix, we will investigate ways to resurface some of this month’s complimentary event content.
While not guaranteed to work, we have found that the following troubleshooting tips have resolved the in-app purchasing issues for some players:
-Restart the app, complete an Encounter, and attempt the purchase again
-Logging in and out of the Apple Store
-Logging out of your Apple ID account before making a purchase

still does not work, still can’t claim the gifts or purchase anything from diagon alley.
I have had this problem since the last event 12/12 & all through the Dark mark encounter- so frustrating

It still doesn’t work even after unlinking my Apple ID. This is beyond frustrating. I already couldn’t finish the last event because of the wit gifts or lack there of.. couldn’t get that complimentary gift and can’t get this one either. We aren’t happy, this needs to be fixed ASAP.
I appreciate you FINALLY acknowledging this issue after at least 3 weeks of people complaining, myself included. It has ruined the game for many people, and certainly ruined 2 major events, so far...the dark mark thing and part 2 of the brilliant event. It would be nice when a fix is in to have at least some of the free bundles available to those who missed out because of this. Thank you in advance for getting this resolved as quickly as possible.
It isn’t acceptable that you can’t provide us with the complimentary bundle when we cannot purchase anything from the store except by contacting support. This needs to be handled!
the trick of logging off Apple ID then logging back in worked long enough to collect the complementary gift and buy the packs for the primary quest. Then I tried to restock my gold supply. It has failed in the usual spectacular way and now the log out then in trick doesn’t work any more. So no gold and crippled in the secondary quest
While I am as unhappy as other people, I would like to know what Niantic wants us to do if Apple shows that we have paid you money and you have not provided us with any coins.
You have $20 of mine and $20 of a friend's, and we can't use it, or get support to purchase for us.
If you tell us to be patient, fine.
If you want us to contact Apple for refunds, also fine.
I'm just looking for guidance on how to deal with this situation.
Thank you for acknowledging the issue and letting us know that you’re working on it. Some replacement gifts for those with the issue who couldn’t pick up the complimentary gifts would go a long way to restore pleasure in playing the game. None of the suggested fixes worked for me. I know you’re also losing money for all of the purchases that can’t be made because of the issue, so best wishes on getting this fixed as quickly as possible.
It sucks but thank you for communicating and acknowledging the issue. The radio silence was frustrating.

You could ask a trusted, verified, and honest friend to borrow their awesome Android device, log in, make your purchases and then log out completely from their phone.
Helped a few people in my community and it was very fast and efficient.
I missed out on the last event one more wit box 300 ruins And now I can’t collect the gift for the new event I can’t spend any of my coins
@Lebro good workaround, but that doesn’t work when you have an apple gift card 😭
@Lebro A good suggestion but also not feasible for people in areas who are in full lockdown or other extreme restrictions due to COVID.
I'm curious if this error is focused on one area... I'm in Nebraska... It appears my friends in Florida and New Mexico are not hindered by this issue.

@WrightInOg We are not yet sure about how this issue is impacting different iOS users. I'm in California and I had this bug with my iPhone last week, but this week it seems to work.

Update:
My wife is stuck with this problem.
She recently discovered that she could use gold to complete potions.
After expending her gold reserves and logging out-in of the game, was able to accept the event gift from the store.
However, she is still unable to purchase new gold from the store, same error, "unable to complete purchase"
This has been going on for months now and appears that you have deleted or hidden previous comments to hide how long you have known about this issue. Are you guys just that incompetent to fix this bug that has been an issue for 6 months.

in the meantime, one thing that’s worked for me is signing on with an ipad. for some reason i can make purchases there and claim my gifts, even though i’ve had this purchasing issue for several weeks now. hope that helps other folks!
Oct 18 was when I first reported this problem to N. and they acknowledged it was known back then. None of the suggested workarounds, did. With prompting, customer service has been gracious enough to deposit complimentary event gifts to my account each time, until now. Has the problem expanded to more users so you’ve quit assisting us? Not cool.
Don’t they test an update before messing up thousands of players playing ability? Seems adolescent and someone needs fired over stupid **** like this.
It seems to me it has to be something related to one's settings on the iOS device itself as there are 4 devices in my household with no issue at all. Wonder if there is a way to link some users together to walk through various possible settings to see if the offending one can be identified.
An in-app message should be surfaced to flag this issue for users, and regular updates should be provided. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks and has prevented iOS users from participating in multiple events. Please address this with urgency and show some respect for your customers who have invested their money and time on your product.
I understand that bugs take time to fix, but I do not understand how you can assist us with purchases but not with free gifts. Without a better explanation, it just comes across as greedy in the face of your own poor QA. I hope you plan on sending the items to all of the players who couldn't claim them during events (and only those players). I normally make purchases during events, but I'm sorry, I can't support blatant unfairness to half your user base, so I'm not spending a dime until that's rectified.

This is not good. I did not get what I was suppose to get from the last event and now I can’t even get energy with the coins I got. I can’t make potions using rent a coulderon.
When can we expect a fix? This coming week? A couple of weeks? Ever?
This has sure put game play for me at an all time low.
