Was anyone able to actually complete the Adversaries Event?? You’d think with all the threads and complaints about the lack of Wit Sharpening Gifts over the last few days, it would have been addressed somehow?? :-/

you'd think, but then again they've proven time and time again glitches will be glitches and if you miss out for them it's 'too bad'.

Yes, I was. My last wit gift came from Ruins IV after so many attempts and energy spent in higher chambers.
I saw the rewards and didnt stress about it. Farmed hundreds of DADA instead by fighting adversaries.
Yeah me too, its about the severe lack of DADA books we had complaining about. Who knows outside the event adversary will be very very scarce on map. In my rural area its definitely will happened.
Nope....I was also not able to finish after multiple attempts and following all recommendations. I really think it was a fault in the game system.
Nope and stupid Wit task was the only one not completed. You would think they would compensate us somehow for this chaos. But not a word or fix to it. Very disappointed.
It was actually pretty easy for me? Getting wit-sharpening potions wasn't a problem- all 3 from challenges by Sat morning. 🤷♀️
Aside from those, I get them from greenhouses pretty regularly.

Yeah,I was. I'm able to leave the house to play so I got my wit sharpening gifts from greenhouses.
The weather was the biggest problem for me. It was so slippery + it was raining.
No I was not able to complete the three wit potion gift segment. Was the worst event I have ever played.
I received 5 whit sharping potions and they did not register on the game. Very frustrating. I have never not finished a task assignment yet. This is the first. So sad
Didn't finish either and having no response about it from @Niantic official JP was extremely frustrating.
No. I had tried all the things that people had posted. All I had left for a quest was the 3 wit sharpening since Saturday & never got any.
Yes. I finished within the first 10 hours. Finding Wit-sharpening gifts did take camping out at a greenhouse, since odds of getting them from challenges seemed to be dropped drastically.
No I was not able to finish due to not getting all the wit sharpening potions, and I did everything for three days. Plus the support sucks with this game.
Yes, I did finish it. But it took me until the very last three hours before I finally found the very first WIt Sharpening Potion. All I found before were Energy Gifts, Ingredient Gifts and Wizard XP Gifts. I managed to get the last WSP 5 minutes before the quest ended...
@Aizleigh You do realize that the task was NOT to receive Wit Sharpening potion but to find Wit Sharpening potion GIFTS (little wraped present boxes with ribon that you can send to your freinds)
yeah, got lucky and got all 3 wits in the 1st 20 mins of the event on friday, then proceeded to retrieving as many DADAs as I could, lol
Not able to finish. COVID restrictions are being strictly enforced in large areas of the US. Spawns were sparce. I was very disappointed. I saw some spawn areas in that would normally be high traffic areas like downtown on the square but was not able to play. Rural areas had none or one
Niantic should correct these event problems on the fly. The rarity of the wit sharpening potion turned what was an interesting and fun challenge into another tedious slog.
Fortunately I could finish the event, but indeed the Wit gift task was awful. I had to empty the gifts stack multiple times and constantly visit a greenhouse + fight in a lot of chambers before finally getting the 3rd Wit gift. This task is tmho not a suitable one for a next time event.....
Yes, was able to complete event in a few hours on Friday. Luckily, I found the wit sharpening gifts early on, all in Ruins. The game appears to have suffered some glitches and I feel for those that missed out because of the lack of wit sharpening gifts.

I did not notice that task until it was completed. Not even sure where I got those potions from, but most likely from greenhouses around the place where I live as I don't do a lot of challenges.
I experienced no problem finishing this event. Sure the wit-sharpening potion task was the last one I finished, but it was certainly doable by visiting green houses and doing wizarding challenges. I didn't need the Sunday and Monday for this event... done on Saturday. So I can't related to all the complaints I'm seeing on the forum...
Like a lot of people, I didn’t manage to complete the event due to finding no wit sharpening gifts despite spending a lot of time searching. However having the ability to source more DADA books will balance things out
Nope. All I was missing was the wit gifts because I couldn’t get any due to the errors from multiple posts. Very disappointed because I could’ve really used the DADA books.
I finished no problem.
But I'm in an urban area and I'm able to drive around to farm greenhouses etc.
My drop rate was ~20% for wit sharpening potions.
My wife and I were able to get all the potions on our way to get tacos to go.
Cant help but wonder how many people were maxed out on gifts but kept plugging away at greenhouses
Nope. And now I can’t make purchases or claim the event complimentary gift. All around a good week...
@TomMarzolo I filed a bug report about it, then went back to fighting adversaries and recharging from a nearby greenhouse. Six hours later, I got my 3rd Wit gift and completed the event.
Frankly, I can't imagine that someone actually fixed it. Probably just luck and stubbornness. But I cannot afford 6 straight hours of gaming regularly. I admit I was pleased to have an even which allowed me to collect DADA books, even if the cost was very high in terms of spell points and potions.
In case you haven't met them, Narcissa Malfoy and the Dragon's spell targets are very twitchy, making it hard to get a spell to cast. The Basilisk is dang near impossible. Even with Wit and Potent Ex, it was doing 80+ points per hit of damage to me, and I was chugging more potions regularly. If you have to take two potions, you just have to accept that the Basilisk gets a free hit.
I think that tieing the Wit gift to the greenhouse was Niantic trying to make greenhouses more useful. Does anyone actually use a greehouse to farm potion components? Of course this continues Niantic's well known bias towards big cities and shopping malls and absolute unconcern for rural players.
On the plus side, I distributed more than 80 gifts to my friends, keeping my collection well below 30.
I spent hours and hours attempting to get the gifts to no avail, both from Greenhouses and KB; at the very end I heard that the drop rate had been fixed and because I hadn't yet hit 100 gifts for Monday I was able to drive to a pair of greenhouses with a half hour to go and get three of the potion gifts in 10 tries. Fortunately I didn't have to delete anything other than Ingredient Gifts.
I feel sorry for all the people who ran into a brick wall on this event; it was almost me.
Greenhouses are an occasional source of farmed snowdrops and mushrooms but most days my Greenhouse Charm goes unused.
