Customer acknowledgment?

I am very disappointed in Niantic‘s lack of customer acknowledgment when there are bugs with the game. I am one of those impacted by the inability to purchase anything from Diagon Alley. I know I am not the only one impacted by this issue. I have been impacted for over a week now, and I know others have been impacted for longer than that. I made attempts to reach Niantic via the in app chat support, coming to this forum, going to the developer page found through the Apple App Store, and Twitter and Facebook. I have received only one response that was through the in app chat bot. All they said was they are working on it and there’s no ETA. They offered to make the purchases for me and apply it to my game profile. That was yesterday, I told them what I wanted to purchase and I have not heard anything else from them and none of what I requested is showing up in the game.


The fact that I am being ignored, other customers are being ignored, and there has been no public acknowledgment from Niantic, and no timely resolution, leads me to think there is a security issue or privacy violation.


As a customer, I value transparency and level-setting a customer’s expectations. I am far more patient when when I am acknowledged and have some sort of information about the issue. I don’t think that is too much to ask.


when will customers get acknowledgment and information about the inability to purchase anything from the Apple App Store.

    You will continue to be very disappointed, if you expect Niantic to work on bugs for this game. WB/Portkey are the primary programmers. Niantic just made the framework and helped with initial programming. They are mostly hands off, since the game launched.

    I’m having the same problem since the update last week. Right before it took my money to purchase gold but now I cannot purchase anything nor can I claim my free gifts.
