@McLight@hpwulola Same here, I’ve done over 30 challenges today, visited 5 or 6 greenhouses, but not a single wit sharpening gift... All other tasks are completed. I really hope the drop rate will increase otherwise i will not finish this event. And that would be the first event fail for me...
@hpwulola Could you please check the spawn rates? I have done at least 30 fortress fights via Knight Bus, and I received nothing than Runestone gifts. We are in a global pandemic, many countries are in a full lockdown. So why are you making such nearly impossible quests for an event?
I’ve had similar experiences to the others in this thread.
After 5 greenhouse visits (while walking the dog) and between 30-40 fortress fights (admittedly lower level ones), I still haven’t found one Wit Sharpening Gift. I completed all the other tasks already without issue.
I have a reasonable loop of 4-6 greenhouses that I’ll drive through a few times later today. Hopefully that does the trick but that seems rather an absurd solution.
I just violated the lockdown policies of my country to get out and find some greenhouses. After around 20, I collected all of the 3 required Wit Sharpening Gifts. So it is way easier to find such gifts in greenhouses than via Knight Bus challenges.

I've used up so many coins and energy as well as depleted my potion stash entirely and used up more coins to try and get through the final battle in the chain. I think I'm done for awhile unless I can find those gifts lol

Found a second WSP gift this morning -- oddly enough in Forest 2 again. (Joined a chamber- just happened that that's where a few wizards were) It seems to be holding true that ya gotta get out of the ruins and towers to find these &*$#@×?$.
So I'm now 2/3. Have completely depleted my SE, so I'm gonna have to wait to try further. I guess they're out there, just with horrible odds.
@hpwulola I think this is possibly the worst task ever. I have hit the gift received limit today and got 1 wit gift. Considering that the rest of the event is spell energy heavy this is a potentially impossible task to complete.
@Nikrul yeah, upgraded my wit sharp to 24% and man it's a killer lol, maxed potent + wit sharp and 1st strike crit almost 2 shots draco and fenrir lol (auror)

After recycling my entire gift list twice and **** through the fortress most of last night and this morning I finally got one. I know for certain I went through the fortress more that 50 times because that's how many of one particular runestone I had when I started and it's not the only kind I've used.
I don't expect to finish this task because I'm not spending the rest of my weekend on my couch.
Spent 4 hours near green house today. I didn’t try it every 5 mins, but I tried plenty of times. No gifts other than ingredients and energy. Come to think of it I have never seen anything other than energy and ingredients from a greenhouse and I been playing for over half a year now. Do I need to do anything special to get other gifts? All I do is pull a plant out. Anything I’m missing?
After 30-40 Fortress visits, no Wit Sharpening potions, that wasn’t looking promising. So I repeatedly did a loop of 4 Greenhouses by car, took about 40 minutes; I got the needed potions during visits 7, 14 and 25.

Gorgadom, make sure you have space in your gift inventory. You stop picking up new gifts once you reach the cap of 30; you probably need to manually drop gifts to free up space.

Both my husband and I have been playing yesterday and today, lots of fortress battles and nothing (and yes, we have space available for gifts). We also sat for about 30 minutes at a green house today and kept trying. Neither of us got anything. I'm starting to think something isn't right. I mean, if so many of us are having an issue, it appears that the drop rate is really screwed up.
My guess for green houses is if you have unlocked the other gift options in the sos skills that it may mean a reduced chance of the wit gift - I have had what appears to be lots of potent exstimulo gifts
I don't like "fighting" but wanted to give this event a chance. Did extra tower runs - no wit sharpening potions. Did greenhouses - which with lock down meant only the ones near the market - no wit sharpening potions. AND no ingredients to make more! Can you say unhappy and frustrated - level 42 Professor. This is not the way to keep us coming back and considering spending money on this game.

Don't think I am alone with the opinion that if one has to walk (or drive if old enough) in the middle of global pandemic for hours to complete a RNG task, then Niantic might have missed the point as to what is a fun and safe gameplay experience. Good luck to all still playing HPWU.
Ah. I got my 3 gifts now and completed this challenge. My problem was complete ignorance of the gift concept in the game. I never went to the “friends” section before and never saw the gift list which was of course full. Cleaned up that gift list completely and got 3 correct gifts in the greenhouse in 20 mins or so while fighting all kinds of other buffers (oddly all 3 gifts found in the same greenhouse out of 5 I visited after cleaning up the gift list. Other greenhouses were giving me gifts every time, but of the wrong kind)

I did 60 ruins IV and V chambers with rune stones lol 3 4 5 ... NOT A SINGLE DROP..

This is getting Ridiculous.... I've already spend 102 level 5 runes since the begining of the event and I ONLY GOT 1 O_o
I finisehd the entire event except for this ridiculous task en a couple of hour of gameplay this kind of RNG is absurd....

I will try greenhouse tomorrow I am almost at the 100 gift limit for today anyways......

What a joke to have a random drop item as a task. I have hit several greenhouses and well over 50 fortress and a grand total of ZERO WS gifts.
At least have a reasonable drop rate.

Similar experience to most others on this thread. Drop rate for Wit is terrible (and yes I always make sure I have space for gifts)
