Gosh, he just keeps popping up on my map, I’m getting tired of him. There have been suggestions to not be in/near flagged areas. Oddities don’t spawn as often. Maybe that’s an issue? If you search the forum for oddities, maybe that will pull some threads with suggestions that might help.
Ditto, I get tired of seeing him and get excited when it's a leprechaun, doxy or anything else. I seem to notice him more during daylight and in populated areas so if you're a rural player that might be why you aren't finding him. Also, some geographical areas and regions reportedly offer higher rates of different traces and ingredients. Someone stated they can find Toadstools and Wormwood regularly but have difficulty finding Bitterroot (which was in full bloom on my routes with this full moon btw), not sure if the player just didn't realize he/she was next to a Greenhouse though... I recommend finding a local city area with several inns and walking around for an hour or so, you'll probably knock your 15 out.
have not closed this one either
not seeing that many centaurs, a few, here and there
more recently during the event and since the 2.1 update
so maybe something has changed
I tired of leprechaun.. pop out everywhere. Yet.. from day 1 till now. I only get 2 brown centaur.. weird !!!
That’s funny. I’ve only seen the leprechaun 7 times. I’ve seen the centaur 66 times...😴
Finally got this one done, went nearly two weeks without seeing one then all of a sudden, they were everywhere! Now if I could get my hands on a Firenze or two...
I can't get anything BUT him.
I haven't seen a leprechaun but get centaurs day and night. I wonder if they are regional?
none for me.... don’t seem to see oddities during the day at all!
Im not in Rural area, my area quite popular as in island.
Possible brown centaur only spawn near hill or mountain or jungle.
Yet, i cant found any in my area. alot PIXIE .. ya PIXIE ...
Search through reddit and google. none of threat discuss more specific about oddities.
example :- Erkling spawn in park / playground
dawn with more doxy in partly cloudy
dusk with more serpent while cloudy or raining
I'm having minimal luck with brown centaur too. Am now at 12/15 at level 30 which is kinda pathetic. Lol. But I noticed the last time they came up in bursts and only on clear evenings. Gonna test out this theory the next time there's a clear evening.
@KatherineSarah Most of the Oddities I have encountered on the map have been in the evening and overnight. I was recently surprised to run into a couple in broad daylight at a local park, on more than one occasion.

@ZookiTabooki yupe. Erkling spawn at Park/Playground daytime.
@binondogurl I quite agree with you, i believe it boost the spawn while clear evening or night
Same thing for me in Singapore too, almost very sad about centaurs, my last seen is dated 13 July?
i read too they are every where, any time of the day, just not coming to us at all. No idea how to solve this either.
Many people feel the Oddities are region locked or subject to "biomes" like in Pokemon Go. While this may be true to some extent, all hope is not lost. If a particular Oddity is rare in your region, there's a decent chance you'll discover they appear when weather conditions are right, as long as those conditions are reflected within the in-app weather status. This is the case for Horned Serpents in my area. They only come out when it's cool and raining. Days like that are uncommon during the summer time here in West Texas, so I hardly ever see them.
@Acumen i should consider myself playing day and night, everyday but still hardly see any centaurs in my area or places I travelled to so far. Perhaps the next is the wee hours at night when we should be sleeping and take a walk around and see if I get to see them.
I've seen 165 centaurs and only 18 pixies... I see the centaurs day and night everywhere.
Same here, i only got a few of them. Though mine shown up at night. I mostly got confused by pixies one.
just yesterday, suddenly there were 3 centaurs at night near my home. I am thinking perhaps it is about the new moon, will observe further.
Hmm same here, never seen one. Semi rural UK here, on the edge between a small town and open farmland.
My 'seen rate' for oddities is 3 pixies, 0 unknown foundable - medium (brown centaur), 7 vampire, 1 werewolf returned (I know the seen number is bugged on these), 0 doxies, 55 erkling, 29 horned serpent, 62 leprechaun.
Obviously the werewolves and doxies are low as I haven't been looking at the right time for them. There must be a location trigger for the centaurs that I'm missing. I've only ever seen one oddity during day time and that was an Erkling.
Hmm,
I've seen brown centaurs at home, at the park and at Costco. On the other hand I have never seen a horned serpent in my area. I often see centaurs and pixies at the same time and I've seen centaurs during the day and at dusk.
Do we have reports from someone who has seen a horned serpent at the same place/time as a brown centaur? The horned serpent needs water, maybe the brown centaur likes it dry?
Note: I placed my image for the horned serpents the first day of play stuck in the airport in Pittsburgh so don't worry about me until I finish the eggs.
@Osprey1 I seem to be in the lucky minority, because I see all oddity types regularly. I live in New England, USA. I see so many centaurs that I stopped retuning them for a while, and I have definitely seen them at all times of day and alongside any other sort of oddity.
I’ve been having issues with brown centaurs too, Only on 5/15 having finished all other oddities. I saw 3 the other night but like others are saying it was a clear night, new moon. So I think one of these is the deciding factor. I have seen horned serpents in the same place as the centaurs. Although rather than the ‘biome’ arguments that the Americans are suggesting, i think it’s either clear night (I live in Scotland, we don’t get many go those) or the new moon.
I've encountered more werewolves than centaurs. :O
