Unable to install HPWU

I recently bought a new phone, and I got one which has all the features that are required.

GPS, Location Services, Gyroscope, Compass, 1080x2340 display, 4 GB Ram and 64 GB storage, Android 10.0, Octacore processor at 2.05 gHz.

But my phone won't install the game. It's not rooted nor is it beta. It's a BLU G90 Pro, supposedly a gaming phone. Ingress works fine and Pokemon says it will load. Why not HPWU?

Is there some reason for this, or am I going to have to drop out of the game? I can't afford another phone, and especially not just to play a game.

    Hi @StarTrack ,

As I noted above, the phone meets every requirement that Niantic lists to run HPWU. I think it's a setting in Google Play where Niantic has said specifically what phone can run HPWU. As I also noted, Ingress and Pokemon will load and run on the phone, and both of those are also from Niantic

People who can't afford $700 for a Samsung S20 might be interested in a high quality phone, if not quite as good, can be had for $150. I hope that as more people choose the BLU G90 Pro, Niantic will get around to letting Google Play know that it is approved.

Meanwhile the more of us who ask Niantic to fix this, the more likely they will get around to it.

@BionicManster keep in mind that HPWU is co-developed by Niantic and WB-Games.

And since WB-Games are responsible for the App-Part and Niantic for the server-infrastructure, the comparisons to Ingress and Pokemon GO are irrelevant. It isn't Niantic's responsibility, instead the responsibility lies with WB-Games.

EDIT: When PoGO initially was released, millions of investors thought that the game was developed by Nintendo. People get it wrong all the time.

@Lucoire if you are suggesting that I cross post this with WB-Games, that seems like a good idea. Got a URL?

Even if you are right, and I don't doubt that you are, I still don't see why it's not a good idea to ask Niantic to approve new phone for the game. They work together. Surely the comment can be shared.
