Spend a weekend taking care of Buckbeak and rounding up Care of Magical Creatures Foundables!

From Friday, November 27 at 11 a.m. PT–Monday, November 30 at 11 a.m. PT, keep an eye out for the following:

  • Special Assignments focused on returning Care of Magical Creatures Foundables with rewards including Potions, Spell Books, Runestones, Spell Energy, Silver Key and DADA Books.
  • Increased sightings of Baby Norwegian Ridgeback, Buckbeak, Hagrid, Dragon Egg, and Grawp Foundables on the Map and from Tonic for Trace Detection.
  • Players have a chance to receive a Care of Magical Creatures Runestone after returning event Traces.


Please note: To enable as many players around the world as possible to participate safely, this event has been adjusted to facilitate playing from wherever you are. Please remember to adhere to local rules and regulations, and be respectful of others and your surroundings.

    The servers appear to be having problems with this event. I am barely able to play at all. First the game crashed when fighting in the castle, now there are issues even just brewing potions.

    Enjoying the event. Great to have lots of traces. Also good that there are lots of players travelling by Knight bus to the fortress, but there’s no Hagrid’s Hut, I’m only getting Winged Horses...

    Same here with not being able to get Hagrid’s Hut...hoping this gets fixed before this event ends 😫
