Comments
This is ridiculous, more and more events, they just create more bugs.
Instead of posting and creating more problems, why don't you focus to fix the big issues that you have been accumulating?
We, the players, are just getting discouraged, disappointed and a big par of us are considering quitting the game, bc we don't receive any feedback or a little bit of interest from YOU.
Does this event weekend affect Fortress rewards? Each chamber I've received Dark Arts rewards for only gave Knockturn Alley Signs. The "possible rewards" only shows the signs and not the Magic is Might or Riddle Gravestone foundables. Is this a glitch or intended?
@laterpooh You are posting on the wrong event. Your comment is in regards to the Wizarding Weekend.
Yes, Knockturn Alley Sign is the only foundable that you will be able to get from Challengers, when using Dark Arts runestones. This is how it has worked every Wizarding weekend.
Going to try to post orangewizard infographics. Here's hoping they post, instead of going to the room of requirement🤞
Alas earwax
Any way stay tuned for infographics to post after approval
bonus assignment?
@BenTiger I just realized this when I came looking to see if there was a response and couldn't find my original comment. My apologies.
@Kodokmag just posted bonus tasks. I went to the room of requirement.
Yay... we get 5 of the foundables from opening Portkeys after we are forced to open 5 portkeys to get them. Why not just give us 5 family exp, since that is all that we will be getting from placing the image again?
The 5 portmanteaus task is ridiculous and unfair, for the people (like myself) who aren't allowed to go out, and it doesn't make any sense bc the 5 portmanteaus will give you the 5 stickers of the same foundable as will do completing the special assignments, If I still have to unlock the portmanteaus, whats the point of giving the same reward with the assignment?
@BalthazarHuffs because, people will be exercise now, if you want more you can see next update game behind sneak peek here : https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/update-20200929/
(Prediciton can be next in november)
And portkey 1/2 km will be no more again now.
Anyway, HBD Niantic Hub too.
@Yohanes12 That is PoGo. This is HPWU. They both use Niantic's AR framework, but this game is also partially managed by WB/Portkey, so you can't assume that all PoGo changes are the same as HPWU changes.
You also completely missed the point of his post and my post previous to his.
Well, @Bentiger, technically you could walk 5 of the 1(2) km portmanteaus instead of the 1.5(3) km brilliant portmanteaus and still get the foundable. But yeah, I agree, strange and kind of pointless choice....
So, which parts of this are you going to switch up on us at the last minute, not notify us about, and ultimately lie to us about when called out for it?
They are really pushing the Wizarding XP in this one, aren't they?
Ok Events are becoming a full time job to finish!!!!!
People have to work..
Events should take approximately 3 1/2 hours to 4 hours to complete.
350 brilliant xp
7500 xp from traces!!
Do not even get ministry manuals for placing brillant images in registry page!!!
Lets not forget gold registry pages in challenges.. most ministry books a player can get is 4 no matter how many times image is placed sometimes it is only 3..
COME ON... Make game fun NOT A JOB!!!!
Whole game is becoming
UNATTAINABLE GOALS!!!!
@Fireyswan No, the events should not only take 3 1/2 - 4 hours to complete. You have a whole week to complete the event. What would be the point of having that much time if you can complete it in a few hours?
Personally, I tend to finish it quickly simply because in Las Vegas, I like to stay home in my AC as much as possible, so I try to finish as much as I can in one or two trips to spend some time in my local POI/Trace hot spots. It looks like this event will take a little more time than they usually do, but still should be easily completed in the week we are given.
A few observations from the past two events: WB doesn't care about getting feedback from their customers, and they similarly must not care about their employees either. Unhappy customers will complain to WB employees, tagging them in forums incessantly and making customer-facing jobs that much harder. Hopefully the hardcore players are sufficient to pay salaries and continue working on
featuresbugs to implement. The Wizard Weekend all but cemented the fact that the people who make the decisions about the game are attempting to develop a bi-modal distribution of players: (1) Hard-core that will continue playing and/or paying regardless of what they do, and (2) Players just curious about the game and may put a few bucks in to try making faster progress. Having worked for a game developer before, this business model isn't sustainable. I've told multiple friends to avoid the game, or if they do play, to not put any money in the game (citing at least FIVE major issues that WB attempted to remedy with an inferior resolution). WB is treating this game and it's customers like something you'd see in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares by driving it into the ground and not paying attention to customers, whilst simultaneously thinking all is well. The chart with covid-19 infections is colouring darker, governments are passing more and more restrictions, there's still fires raging and last time I checked... Not many people have access to a whole private hospital wing with experimental medicines.
Can we please remove the comment that this event is adjusted to enable "play at home"? It's not nice to lie...
@Caeleon I agree about requiring opening portkeys in tasks but at least they haven't gone the route of Pokemon Go and returned the Portkeys to their pre covid-19 opening distances. I'm grateful for that. I know even with the lower opening distance it is still a great hardship for those in apartments and strict lockdown.
We also have the Knight Bus as a covid-19 adjustment, although it has plenty of glitches and teammates can be hard to find. Before the Knight Bus, I didn't have a single person to do fortress battles with so I've enjoyed it greatly, flaws and all.
However, recent changes do seem designed to see how far hard-core players will go before quitting the game. @MrMasterMiltank seems to have summed it up quite nicely just above. The analogy to Kitchen Nightmares is indeed apt! If we only had a Gordon Ramsay!
This XP must be a bug.
If a Fluffy gives 500XP, a poacher should give at least the same. I think they messed up by an order of magnitude. Either that or they like pissing off those players that haven't given up yet.
Am I correct that the event brilliant traces (poacher and snatcher) will be taking between 3-7 SE to take down? For each one...
Maybe @hpwulola or @HPWUrobert have something to say about this....Just remember, they'll probably just say "there is no bug, and it was intentional" just like the failed WW...
These new Brilliant Encounters will be more challenging than other Oddities. We are reading all your feedback and reporting it to the team. Please continue to let us know your feedback in this thread, thank you.
Maxed Professor here, just took 8 SE to return the Snatcher.
I'm a maxed Magi, it's taking me 3-6 spells to return each brilliant foundable. And for only 75 XP?! Will the SOS Training General Spell Mastery skills help cut down on that?
