Advanced Techniques?

Hi All,

I'm curious if anyone has discovered hidden advanced techniques, I know pokemon go has the spin ball, the timing of the circle, and the fact that weather affects moves etc etc, however I haven't found any of these fun advanced features in this game, have you had any better luck? I know it's a young game, but considering the fullness I can't help but feel like we've missed something.

I have noticed that there are Master Notes that you can use when brewing a potion by clicking on the spoon and figuring out which gestures are correct. Does anyone know if the 15% brewing time reduction is the only available note at this point? Are there others that are hidden?

So far these are my main questions....

1) Any other notes available for brewing?

2) Timing protego, does it matter? Are there other hidden defensive spells possibly able to be cast?

3) Does anything other than Fair, Good, Great, or Masterful matter when casting (outside of potion use and RNG)?

4) Are forbidden section books only available during events?

5) Are you able to cast any other spells than the suggested trace when facing confoundables?

6) How do the runes work really? Whats the difference in using a lvl 2 rune in a lvl 1-5 tower level room? How do both levels interact with each other, should you try and use the same level of run as the level of room you are in?

Thanks all and happy hunting!

    1) Haven't found any yet but still trying!

    2) Quick slash, slow slash, beginning, end, neat or sloppy Protego always does whatever level you have it upgraded to. If there's another Def option I haven't figured it out yet...

    3) Well... Funny you ask this. I have started noting an impressive trend where if I incomplete cast, hit the red dot and complete the next cast I succeed. I've been noticing it but last night specifically I hit 3 Masterful in a row and then I did an incomplete cast followed by a Fair and thr Fair got it. Might be a coincidence but it isn't the first time its happened to me, just have to test it out some more.

    4) Only during Brilliant Events at the moment and I read somewhere the number will not exceed 15 per event, though I hope this changes.

    5) Failed every time I've tried as an incomplete cast. There might be a spell we haven't received yet... I feel like Avada Kedavra or Expelliarmus would be a universal win on most... Just saying...

    6) Its a modifier for whatever level of the fortress you are own. Currently I'm saving my Lvl 1s for when I push up but I also primarily solo play. The Runestone boost makes the enemies harder and gives more Challenge XP, not to be confused with Player XP.

    Hope this helps!

@CytopeAchen , #3 is just a coincidence. You can theoretically beat everything with dawdle draughts and fair casts, because RNG. The only real reasons that doesn't work are that there is a time before each confoundable apparates, and I'm sure there is an equal chance for a confoundable to apparate as be defeated for emergency confoundables (prior to potions/spell quality).

@M3lk0r I'm not so certain, I tested again this evening. Masterful cast, incomplete cast and good/fair cast that catches the red dot wins it. So far I haven't done this and failed. Dawdle Draughts are not as awesome as they sound btw, several of us have experienced Departed while one was in play. I popped a Potent Exstimulo with a Dawdle Draught and a Masterful cast on a Emergency only to have it depart.
