I find it hard to actually grow anything because I never have all the ingredients needed. My vault is full but I don't have enough of one or two items, then don't know which ones i should delete and pick up when walking around. It would be great if we had the option to buy the extra ingredients (like we can with potions). Anyone have tips on how they handle this? Is it even worth growing item sin the greenhouses?

So I only keep one or two of each seed type. Plenty spawn, so not worried about running out. Then max out the vault with water. Next time I’m at an empty greenhouse, I plant. You should only need a packet of seeds and variable water depending on plant type. not sure what other ingredients you’re needing. If you’ll be around for a while, plant a short growing plant you can harvest when ready. if it’s A greenhouse you‘LL see same time tomorrow, plant toadstool. It’s a community thing, so I don’t mind planting items I Won’t be able to harvest.
@Llorathan It sounds like part of your concern is regarding potion-making, as well as greenhouse planting. My strategy has been to only keep enough ingredients for 4 or 5 each of whatever potions I am likely to be brewing. Then I pick up everything I see, and weed them out again when the vault is full. As to finding the right ingredients, different ones spawn at different times and in different weather. I haven't been keeping enough notes to have figured out the patterns yet, but they are there to be found. One final note: as far as I can tell, only 2 of the 4 ingredients for any potion can be grown. The other 2 must be found elsewhere.

Focus on seeds for ingredients you don't see regularly, find Greenhouses in your normal scheduled travel and time out accordingly when possible. Certain areas reportedly have varying amounts of certain ingredients that randomly spawn there. For me Wormwood and Leaping Toadstools are rare in my area but others state they see them regularly. I tend to keep 2 or 3 of these handy and the rest of my Greenhouse inventory full of water (as you need a considerable amount more of it). If I get up to 53 in my inventory and I spot a water jug then I delete 4 of them so I can pick it up as they give 5 per jug now I've gained 1 extra. For wormwood I plant whenever I'm playing near a greenhouse and in the last 5min if I'm still nearby I spend the spell energy to boost it. For leaping toadstools I have a greenhouse on my way to work that I'll plant it at and the next morning I collect it on my way in.
