Since I asked....it was made very clear, dragons everywhere 😍 I used a Tonic at home and got a few of each kind, now am out in the community and have gotten 6 or 7 more, all kinds.
I spent real money to get keys. 🙄 That would have been a good gift-pack.
You can ONLY get dragon egg fragments from port keys but I just tested and the port keys are only giving you HALF the amount you travel. Sometimes I got .10km when in fact I walked an entire km. I tested the distance in several areas just in case it was spotty 5G areas. Not once was the distance and port key even close to correct. Can you say CASH GRAB?!?!?
@PhoenixLight76 I'm all for a good conspiracy theory, but I think you're missing the mark here. I'm sorry to hear that you're not seeing your full distance reflected by your portkeys, but that problem isn't universal. I walked about 5km yesterday and I opened multiple portkeys as I would expect.
Like lots of others my part of the world is in a strict lockdown at the moment so I can’t see me getting many Portkeys opened but how do we get the dragons?
Are they traces that should spawn on the map, I seem to remember seeing them as the purple event spawns last time? I’ve tried a couple of TTDs but nothing yet, am I missing something or just been unlucky so far?
@SquiffyMcSquiff Yes, they are traces. The Welsh and the Antipodean are severe (orange beam), the Peruvian and the Chinese are emergency (red beam). I think you've just been unlucky. I live in a high spawn area and got some dragons even without TTD. With one I got a couple more. Maybe you could go by car to a park or another generally high spawn area? :/
It's quite unfortunate that such heavily wanted event is so portkey-focused during a pandemic. My guess is that since it was all so spontaneous, they didn't have time to react and make the eggs random drops from dragon foundables or fortress rewards.
Sadly, I don’t have a car available to me but that would have been a great idea.
Never mind, to be honest I haven’t played the game really as I wasn’t keen on the latest update but this event piqued my interest. having tried to get back in to the game today it seems to have changed quite a bit, it seems a lot more difficult to return traces now and I’m not a fan on the new convoluted skill tree.
thanks for the advice, think I’ll give it a rest for another few months and see where the game is at 🙂

Apparently. I've only picked up one portkey so far and gotten my regional dragon once. I wonder if you have to use tonic to get them to come out?
Was there any gift pack btw?
